Early

 

Her resume is as diverse as her talents. As a veteran Broadway triple threat, dance educator, stage, film and commercial performer for the first part of her professional life, she has entertained audiences in every performance venue. She's been the spokesperson for corporate clients nationwide, and now, after a long stint in business and education, she's back - forging the way for mature talent everywhere!

More About Barb

Barb is a member of AFTRA, SAG and AEA  and has performed in all media, including Broadway national tours, regional theatre, summer stock, dinner theatre, industrial shows, films, commercials, voice-overs and narration. 

She was the owner of three dance academies in Michigan, each with over 400 students, and was a dance Artist-in-Residence at Oakland University, a Master Teacher at Kent State University, Director of the Musical Theatre Department of the Salt Creek Ballet (IL) and Dance Audition Assistant to Donald Saddler (NYC). In addition, she has choreographed musical theatre shows and was the choreographer and swing performer in the live stage group The Dazzlers through Gail & Rice Talent.

She was also a featured performer in live fashion shows and represented clients in print campaigns.  Some of her clients included Chrysler,  Ford,  GMC Truck,  Oldsmobile, Toyota,  Buick,  Lincoln-Mercury,  Chevy, Lincoln Continental, Dodge Truck, Beardsley & Piper, Clark Equipment, Ingersoll/Rand, Comart Aniforms,  Pepsi,  Strohs, the Taubman Co., Michigan Consolidated Gas,  Detroit Edison,  Michigan Milk  Producers,  R.J. Reynolds, Gantos and Lands' End.​

As a freelance writer, she created innovative promotional materials and wrote ads and feature stories for local and national clients and publications - responsible for project research, client interviews, product development, writing, and copy design. Barb is the author of The Seraphim Trilogy: Revelation (Redemption and Eden in progress); Finding the Best Dance Instruction: Look Before You Leap (Writer’s Digest/F&W Publications); Good Kids, Bad Choices (Bevan House), But What If? Critical Thinking in Criminal Justice (Cognella Academic Publishing), and the Editor of Bradley’s Communications Publicity Guide. She was also the Entertainment Writer for Today and Entertainment Correspondent for the Sun Newspapers. Her work has been published in numerous magazines, including Hopscotch, Dance Teacher Now and Chicago Parent.
